RII30719 - CERTIFICATE III MINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE & RESCUE

Qualification Description

This qualification reflects the role of emergency response and rescue team members working in the resources and infrastructure industries, who perform tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications in a wide variety of contexts, which involve some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures.

 

Target job titles may include:

 

  • Emergency Rescue Team member (ERT)

  • Rescue officers

  • Paramedic/rescue

 

Typically participants will have 2+ years’ experience in mining activities. As this qualification is delivered in the workplace, it is critical that a client holds a current permanent position or training place and is available to participate in training and assessment activities. This training is not suitable for novice employees looking to enter a workforce as a rescue officer.
